![]() Second 192 Loop sync Out -> HD I/O Loop sync in HD I/O Loop sync out -> first 192 Loop sync Inįirst 192 Loop sync Out -> second 192 Loop sync In Then I have loop sync connected between the HD I/O and the 2 192's. The way I have the I/O's wired is W/C out of the Antelope into W/C in on the HD I/O using a T connector and a terminator on the other end of that T connector. ![]() I also run other digital devices and ALL my BNC cables are the except same length, not sure that this matters but in my brain it makes sense as PanamaJack mentioned. I have a similar setup except with an Antelope Clock and 1 HD I/O and 2 192's. Some support only 44/48KHz, others go higher. You did not mention your other devices, but some devices have little jumpers that allow selections of 1x or 256x, for example. Sounds like you do not need the loop sync connectors in use for your application. That is, if you are daisy-chaining word clock you might benefit from having all BNC connections with a direct, equal length cable run, from a sync distribution hub. Depending on how many devices the Big Ben can connect before it runs out of BNC connectors might create an issue. The length (and correct 75 ohm rating) of the word clock connections can have an effect, too. If you have additional devices with only word clock, then use word clock. In order to use "Loop Sync," all the devices need to have the loop sync connection. With Big Ben as the master clock, do I need to have the Loop Sync BNC cables running between the Omni and 16X16? Or do they need to actually be disconnected from each other so they aren't becoming a slave/master situation?. So I have a Apogee Big Ben running as the master clock for everything (clocking a few other digital peripherals as well). I want to make sure all the digital stuff is talking nicely to each other and these digital pops are more just power surge kinds of pops, not system assembly errors.Īlso, any comments about whether I should migrate clocking to the internal clock in the HD hardware instead of using the Big Ben? With Big Ben as the master clock, do I need to have the Loop Sync BNC cables running between the Omni and 16X16? Or do they need to actually be disconnected from each other so they aren't becoming a slave/master situation? I have looked out there at the info about this topic and have not read a clear answer to my specific question. ![]() I've been noticing a few digital pops recently when tracking and have started questioning if I have things set up correctly. ![]()
